We are hiring farm workers for an indoor melon packing shed in Griffith NSW 2680. Hourly pay, year-round work, and company transport available.
Crops and Seasons
- Rockmelon: early/mid December – mid May
- Pumpkin: January – early/mid July
- Watermelon: late December – early May
- Broccoli: mid April – mid November
Work Details
- 8–12 hours per day on average (flexible)
- 5 days a week (7 days available if you want)
- Indoor work in the packing shed – no working in the sun
- Hourly pay (not piece rate)
Pay
- $32.18 per hour + 12% Super
- Forklift licence holders: $33.55 per hour (experience preferred)
- Tractor drivers: $33.55 per hour
Roles
- Box making and stacking
- Melon packing, quality control (QC) and sorting
- Tractor driving
Good to Know
- Eligible work for 2nd and 3rd year Working Holiday visa
- Student visa holders welcome. Please note: student visa holders can work up to 48 hours per fortnight while their course is in session, and unlimited hours during course breaks.
- Year-round work with multiple crops
- No car needed – company transport available ($10 return, about 30 minutes)
- Close to Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Kmart, Big W, Asian grocery stores and fast food
Share House
- $180–$300 per fortnight (depends on the room)
- Pay every 2 weeks
- Wi-Fi included
- House rules apply, just like in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Violence, theft or abusive behaviour will lead to immediate removal and legal action.
Start Date
We are hiring now, before the melon season starts in early/mid December. Induction may take 1–2 weeks, so please apply early. If the share house is full, you will need to find your own accommodation.
