How we count: for full-time work, every calendar day from your first to your last day counts, including weekends and normal rest days. For part-time or casual work, each day worked is converted to a full-time equivalent (5 days worked = 7 calendar days). This is an estimate only. You cannot finish in less than 3 calendar months (6 for a third visa), the work must be in an eligible industry and postcode, and Home Affairs makes the final decision. Keep all payslips. How the 88 days are counted
Home Affairs defines 3 months of specified work as 88 calendar days, and 6 months as 179 days. If you work full-time, weekends and normal rest days during your job count too. If you work part-time, you need to work the full-time equivalent.
